Hi,

I only have 2 sata ports on my mobo , 1 connected to my old HDD ( 160 GB ) n one to optical DVD drive ....

I've purchased a new 1 TB HDD and temporarily attached it by disconnecting the optical drive .

I searched and found that there is a PCI Express x1 to Sata Controller Card , that fits in PCIe x1 slot and gives 2/3 sata ports .

Please answer the queries :

1 . So can i attach my optical drive via that controller card ?
2. Does the PCI Express to Sata Card provide the same speed as direct sata ports ?
3. Also , I want to install a graphic card in the PCI x16 slot so can they both be installed easily on my mobo ( see below pic )

1. yes.
2. yes.
3. a gfx card and one pci-e x1 card both can be used on your mobo without any issue - there's enough spacing between two slots and you can even install a dual sloit gfx card.

BTW, it would be better if you install 2 80mm at the rear of your cabinet for better air flow and less heat ;-)
