1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Playing games (Tomb raider, Far Cry 3, Bioshock Infinite - with medium settings)
Programming/Learning - Java/Android App development
Watching HD movies

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.

20k - can extend to 25k max.

3. Planning to overclock?

Yes (optional)

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?

Already using Windows 7

5. How much hard drive space is needed?

Already own 2 HDDs a 1TB WD Caviar Blue and a 500GB Seagate

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.

Already own a monitor - Dell 19" wide screen (E1909W) - 1440 x 900

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?

I already own the following:
- Corsair TX 650 PSU
- 2 HDDs (1TB WD Caviar Blue and 500 GB Seagate)
- Zotac nVidia 9800 GTX+ GPU
- cooler master 690 cabinet
- ASUS DVD writer
- Logitech MX518 mouse & Logitech keyboard

8. When are you planning to buy the system?

In the next one week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?

Yes

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?

Chennai - looking to purchase online primarily

11. Anything else which you would like to say?

My current graphics card might have died (still awaiting news from my service guy). I plan to buy a mid-range graphics card after 3-4 months; as such would like to know if going for an AMD APU for a decent graphics performance while I get a new card, is a better idea vs getting an entry level GPU now.
