Pc shutdown

Hello.
On using my pc for more than 15mins it shuts down. On restart there is a Warning Processor thermal trip.
Is it heating issue?
How much warranty normally processor has.
Mine is Intel core quad 15months old

I think 3 years.
Check exact model no.
Use HWMonitor/RealTemp to see your temperatures..

Yes, looks like a heating issue.

Re-fit the heatsink with new paste yourself, or get it done by someone who knows.

I've done it before.not a problem.just wanted to confirm.

First check if it's temp prob only.
Don't apply new TIM just like that
Monitor temps first.

OK its my friend pc it was full of dust.so i removed processor.found very little paste left.
temp show 90c

Few days back i noticed my pc was shutting down frequently. On restarting it manually there was a beep sound. So i checked the temp and found it to be 100c.
I applied some thin film of thermal pase.
Now the processor fan doesn't fit into the slots( this is not my 1st time).
Also the PC boots with beep sound without any display and shuts dows in 10sec.
Please reply what can i do.

have you fixed this? else try cleaning ram slot and insert the ram again.

Over heating issue most probably. Also try the above solution ^^
