PC restarts after the first boot beep

when i power up the pc, restarts after the first beep and this keeps going on.
I checked the psu and its fine. It sometimes starts up but it displays the message as in the image.

i also updated the bios but no results.
The system is just 5 months old and ran fine till now. The config. is:
amd phenom x4 955
asus m5a78-l m le
transcend 4gb ddr3
seagate 250gb hdd

please help.

^^ remove ram module - remove the CMOS battery - wait for 3-4 mins - out the CMOS battery back again properly - mount the mem module properly and start the pc.
