creating such a hog of a rig to play on a single monitor??
Why not combine 3 1080p monitors, your budget can easily permit that
jump into to the awesomeness of the Eyefinity

no ways...after seeing eyefinity setups in videos i am 100% sure i won't be comfortable with it...seriously it feels a bit awkward...and as my first priority will be gaming i think i should go for 120Hz monitor...excluding the 3d part i think playing in 2d will definitely make games smoother and faster...

Gtx 580 trisli will be even more powerful when paired with i7 2600k. Tried and tested.

But there's absolutely no point to spend so much on current gpu's cause amd 7 series is almost near. Nvidia will also release its kepler gpu's.

So its a much better idea to wait considering such a good budget OP has.

GTX 580 SLI will cost me around 60k....and regarding 7 series,as of now,they will be releasing single gpu and not the dual one so there is no chance of it being faster than hd 6990...after a year or so of releasing single gpus,dual gpu's of 7 series should make their debut...kepler is definitely releasing in Q1 2012 whereas 7 series still has probability of getting released in Q4 2011...

Oh you have no idea..i have been for,what like 2 months...BD is the last thing i am waiting for...and also Battlefield 3 Beta benchmarks are around the corner so whichever card has the maximum fps i will be going with it...alpha benchmarks have definitely disappointed me...
