PC for gaming under 18k [Excluding monitor, HDD etc]

Ans: Gaming. Mainly for running GTA 4, GTA 5 when released, Saint Row 3, Just Cause 2 and

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 18k. Can extend to 20k, but avoid that.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 7.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: Already having 250GB.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Not now. Will buy a full HD monitor later. Currently he's using a non-HD monitor (not sure about resolution).

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: UPS, Speakers, Hard Disk, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, DVD Writer.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Next month.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Assembler. Why does it matter?

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: New Delhi, not buying online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:
My cousin needs this PC to play games without any lag. He doesn't mind lowering the settings, but doesn't want to leave intel. I am trying to convince him for AMD, but he simply doesn't listen!

first of all you can't get a good gaming pc with intel in that budget... so AMD is the only option...

In your budget get the zebronics Bijli.. or the Cooler Master Elite 310

good luck finding Athlon II x4!even phenom II X4 models below Rs.6500 are hard to find in nehru place,delhi.online shopping is the only option for such models in many cases.

Ya, Athlon II X4 products are almost vanished from the shops, both the online and the local markets. In Kolkata also, no Athlon II X4 are available.

i did manage to find a shop selling athlon II x4 645 for 5050 in delhi but decided it was not worth the effort & finally got a pentium dual core g620(sandybridge based)2.6GHz+intel h61ww for 7100 which i think is a good enough deal(not to mention future upgradeable too).
