okay I have a suggestion for you
i3 2120 - Rs 6.8 K
Asus P8H61M LX - Rs 2800
Corsair 4 GB DDR3 ValueRam - Rs 1200
Corsair VS450 or CX430 - Whichever is cheaper - Rs 2400
Cabinet - El cheapo Zebronics cabinet Rs 500
DVD RW- Asus One - dont remember model - Rs 1.1 K
Monitor - Dell IN2030M - Rs 5900
Seagate Barracuda 500 GB HDD - Rs 3300

Now you will need to extend ur budget atleast 29 K to fit in a moderate enough GPU but u can also cut costs by getting a dual core G640 (or something dont remember) instead of the i3, by which u can save 3K but wont be futureproof

Try to get a HD 6770 minimum but aim for a HD 7770

If u need more time to save, get an i3 2105 for 1k more than price i mentioned and save some cash for the GPU.. the HD 3000 in the i3 2105 should be able to handle games at a moderate settings (it even gives 49 fps on Dragon age at 1366*768 on ultra) ;)

sorry i didnt see u needed a 1 TB HDD.. its quite impossible to get a PC for gaming at that price with 1 TB HDD.. u need to cut it down to 500 GB or even to 320 GB, inorder to get a GPU

nice suggestion,
also I see you are interested in AMD config as well.
That will provide you better specs in board
AMD 3.6 GHz AM3+ FX4100 Processor | Processor | Flipkart.com
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 Motherboard vs ASUS M5A97 Motherboard: Compare Motherboards: Flipkart.com

you get better specs in mobo
though purely gaming would mean core i3 will be better than AMD
