Corsair VS450, just a bit costlier but also a bit better & has extra 2 years warranty(total 5 years warranty).
Corsair VS Series uses cheaper Chinese capacitors which are for Asian markets.
That's why once I lost my GPU to this PSU.

Check the linustechtip psu tier list(the post link in my above post). VS 2017 version(gray white label) is better than old VS series(orange colour label) & I am guessing your VS series psu was older one.

Yes, older one
I lost my GPU which is GTX960 2GB while using VS550 PSU luckily I claimed my warranty on both the PSU & GPU.

Older VS series orange label is in tier E(potentially dangerous to use) while newer 2017 version with grey white label is in tier C(recommended for igpu systems) in linustechtips psu tier list.

Yes but that tier list has some reputation not to mention many members here are already using the newer VS 2017 version with no issues. Of course going by that list VS 2017 version should be recommended only for systems with integrated graphics & their power consumption is not much anyway not to mention newer VS 2017 series has been reviewed & it is indeed much better than older VS series & more than enough for non-graphics card low end systems. @chimera201 should know more about this.

You can but keep in mind that it can take entire tower down on its own.

Edit: Don't spend money on RGB case will fewer usb 3.0 ports.

According to this list my seasonic s12ii psu is in tier d, which is even lower than that of tier c of vs series (2017 models),even though the former was considered to be a pretty robust psu back in the day.

Is there any reason to be concerned about using a tier d psu?

That is because of changed ATX power specifications in 2013 which made older psu unsuitable for processors/mobos adopting this newer ATX version. Intel 4th gen was released in 2013 so I guess any older system will be fine.
