PC Config for a Movie Buff

Help me by suggesting a config.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run?
Ans: Purpose is to browse Web, PhotoShop, Basic games like Plant Vs Zombies, Video recording via Camtasia, and more importantly MOVIES

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 40k (+3k more if it deserves)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: I don't know what it is or how to do this. I prefer not to take risk.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 7. In future may be Windows 8.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1 TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, I need to buy a monitor. Prefer LED, High Definition. 20" or more. Anything perfect for Watching some great HD movies.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I have UPS (APC 600) and Speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:in 1 month

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:Assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:Chennai, Locally

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:Also pls let me know how a HDMI port in monitor makes a difference. If that is important suggest a monitor that has this port. I use my PC for atleast 14 hrs on weekends, and roughly 6 hours everyday.

How about AMD A6, as he says only light gaming or may be even Core i3 2100. That 4K for graphic card can be spent on bigger HDD or monitor

op's main purpose is to watch movies so monitor is the most important part.no point playing a HD movie using i7 2600k with radeon 6970 on a crap 20" TN panel.minimum accepted standard by many video quality conscious people is at least an IPS panel costing 15000 or above.

Movies benefit a lot from GPU based post processing. Much more than PS CS5. ;)

And he already has UPS and Speakers.

Agreed.
Except that the Dell U2312HM under 15k is also superb.
