Hi everybody
I have got a lot of doubts regarding online purchasing. Please clear them.

First this is my configuration
AMD P2 X4 955 BE
GIGABYTE GA 880GMA UD2H
SAPPHIRE HD 6850 TOXIC EDITION
CORSAIR XMS 2X2GB 1333
SEAGATE 1TB
CORSAIR VX450
ANTEC 300
APC BACK UPS 800VA
LG 22X
LOGITECH WIRELESS MK 250

I already have a samsung 22" lcd tv with 1680x1050. So no worry about monitor and speakers.

Please correct me if there are any flaws in my configuration.
Secondly the online prices of each item are listed below:-

SMCINTERNATIONAL:

TECHSHOP: (Shipping in india starts from Rs.xxx)
*CORSAIR VX450 Rs.3559+shipping starts from zero.

Theitwares: (shipping calculated at checkout)
*nothing from here.

The rest i think i should purchase in hyderabad. as they are far expensive.

How can i know the exact shipping cost of an item as different sites quote different quotations.
Please explain the phrases
weight for fright;
Shipping in india starts from Rs.xxx;
shipping@actuals;
shipping calculated at checkout;
i guess there might be a huge amount of hidden charges.
I work in BIKANER RAJASTHAN.
Will they give any discount if i purchase more number of items from them.


I also want to know about the service these sites.

Lastly i think a review is required on online shopping as most of the indian people are new to it. Me too.

The shipping issue is not letting me to calculate the total budget.
I dont want to compromise with my configuration and at the same time i want it at a very less price. So lot of calculations.

@ OP - I know how it is if one is a 1st time online buyer.I have bought 2 products online so far & I'm pretty much happy with 'em.I have bought FSP Saga II 500W PSU & Corsair 2GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM from theitwares & my cousin has bought Asus 5750 formula from SMC.So I can only give you information on these 2 stores.
The cost of the product on the theitwares product page is inclusive of tax & to make it simple they have mentioned the shipping charges of the product as well on the product page.If you still have some doubts about shipping charges you can call up Rahul & inquire with him.
SMC don't mention the exact shipping charges on their product pages.But even then you can call the number given on the webpage & ask the guy.He'll lecha know.My cousin had called 'em up & found out that to ship 5750 SMC charges 200/-.

1. You get the exact cost by moving the item to your cart and doing check out. You can revert back before the online transaction of funds.
2. Shipping will be bundled within (1).
3. Doubt you would get discounts. You buy what you see.

You can directly mail/call the vendor and get more details. It is quite transparent.

you see my signature? that whole rig - UPS is brought online. my first online purchase. got from ITWares & SMC.

also SMC sometimes charges some carrying charge. for example on the monitor i have to pay 200-300 bucks extra. but at last it was worth cause local price was 2k more.

about discount, if you see a product selling for lower price in some website (lynx india) & is priced high in IT Wares, you can ask rahul (IT wares owner) to lower the price referring him to the price in Lynx. chances are, he'll lower the price.

the 6850 is better in mediahome.in .... costs 10,900 shipped only.

never get HDD shipped from elsewhere. they tend to become non functional due to the severe stress. get it from hyderabad. very marginl increase in price
