OLD PC to HTPC

I have an old system with following components

Processor|Core 2 Duo E4400
MOBO|Intel D945GCNL
RAM|DDR2 1GB
Graphic|Nvidia 9500GT
Cabi+SMPS|Foxin 450w
DVD|16X Samsung
UPS|APC 500VA
Mouse|USB
Keyboard|PS2

I am planning to buy a HD LED TV this new year.
Can I use my old PC parts to build a HTPC for media playing and net surfing on my TV?
Plz suggest some config[I can add 5k more]

2 things need to be changed: add more ram. swap that 1 Gb for a 2Gb stick (or 4Gb) or add 2Gb along with it if you have free slot. with the rest of the cash, try to get a better GPU. HD5670 512Mb/1Gb. total will be same. your current GPU is fine too if you stick to media playing only.
