Can anybody confirm if cynogen mod is released for i9500...if not does any1 knows the date?(touchwiz is getting boring and a great memory hog)

As far as I know, no Cyanogen mod for i9500 as developers prefer i9505 over i9500 . But I guess there a few good custom roms around for i9500.

Can you name them please? i really need some quality roms. Roms as close to stock as possible preferred?

I9500 is not supported by official CM. But there are couple of good ports. Check the original development section of I9500 on XDA.

Sorry for the delayed reply. As of now, there is no official AOSP support for I9500. Samsung didn't release the source code for Exynos 5. Until, Samsung releases source code, I9500 will only get mediocre CM builds. Speculations are that there will be a source code released some where near int he future. But the situation is not clear as of now.

I9505 on the other hand has a excellent support, as Qualcomm always releases sources for their SoCs

Cm10.2 is unofficially available for s4, search for it on xda, camera is the only thing not working and a few bugs here n there, rest working fine

Yes there are roms available. They are decent enough roms. Its just not the camera, there are random reboots, video playback issues, couple of audio routing issues, etc.
