Not able to merge sp2 in winxp

Hi all,
Strange problem i am not able to merge sp2 with winxp. followed all the steps exactly the same mentioned in the magzine but it gave an error a device attached to the system is not functioning. using windows 98SE. HELP please.

use Nlite which does the same work but also provides additional features such as removing or adding apps and services from the installation or create a CD with unattended setup ie you will have to do nothing until the installation completes once the installation starts. Similarly it also allows you to integrate the drivers of your devices which otherwise you would install after each installation. Download it from the link below. But it will also need .NET framework which you can download from Windows Update or the same URL below.
