I've Norton Antivirus 2005 and the automatic live update function is turned off. When i try to turn it on, it doesnt. No matter why many times i click the "Turn On" Button, it doesnt really work. I tried to update it manually, it updates all the virus defnitions normally but the worm protection defnitions somehow gets blocked(i hope you understand what i'm talking about).
I was actually playing around with the Windows Services(since i was creating a gaming profile). I'm not sure, but i might've stopped one of the dependencies of Liveupdate service. I dont know for sure but i've tried re-enabling all of them and trying again but without luck. So i'd be really grateful if any of you guys would shower me with their wisdom and help me resolve this. I hope its not a virus or something which has intentionaly blocked me from turning the Liveupdate on. I will try reinstalling it and i will add whether that has worked or not. But meanwhile i'd be really grateful if someone comes up with a solution.
