Nokia 6233 Wallpaper Issue

So finally I put my samsung C100 in the coffin & got meself a new Nokia 6233.Thanks to all of you who had put in your valuable suggestions earlier.The phone is a complete steal & far more than what I had expected.

Anyways there was this strange thing which I noticed on a few ocassions with this cell phone.Apparently when I load some wallpapers from my PC to my handset's memory card,some of the wallpapers load perfectly & most come up with a wierd message saying 'Not Enough Memory' & refuse to open.Now these are standard .jpeg files & are of 1024x768 resolution.Heck the resolution can't be a problem with the mobile as my HD wallpapers open perfectly in it.I have enough memory for sure (2GB via Micro SD) so that's no issue either.Now I need to know if there is any software glitch with these series-40 phones or what am I doing wrong?

it aint any software glitch but opening 1024x768 resolution pics in a mobile is a lotta pain. my sugg reduce the res to ur phones screen res (usin any Editor) N then see

^I don't think you read my post completely.I mentioned that the phone opens my 1920x1440 HD pics without any hitch so I guess it should be able to pull of lower resolutions with ease.

Anyone else having similar issues with their series-40 based phones?

You ain't doing nothing wrong. Sometimes it happens in some phones. Some images fail to load for unknown reason. You can't do much about it. Sorry.

Yeah ur right.Also LG throws tantrums while setting wallpaper.Like it doesn't allow an image more than 200KB to set as wallpaper.
Sorry this can't be remedied.

To avoid such issues, resize the images to ur screen resolution..

Well thats because we could have a better zoom display rather than having a pixellated mess all over the place with those screen fitting resolution.

If thats what happens with these phones then it's a serious let down.Actually it's very wierd.I loaded nearly 20 pics at a time & out of them nearly 14 showed 'Not enough memory'.Now if thats the story then I ougta think of something fast.

@pathiks: Will try your solution too.Hope it works but hate downsampling my images.
