Noise from processor fan

Of late, my system was causing a lot of noise, and most of it was from the processor fan. Standard intel make.

What should i do ?

well no LUBRICANTS are ever recomented to put up in ur cabinet.

there can be two problems.
1. its not processor fan and the SMPS fan which is actually making the sound, which happens more common than processor ones.

2. processor fan fix: open the cabinet and see if its properly alligned. observing it cautiously, and pressing from corners to make it get alligned properly would help.

If at all SMPS fan makes the sound u need to replace that. simply replace it.

U cud also check if ur cabinet outlet fan is attached firmly ...

well, i think he is talkin bout greasing the dusty fan with oil/grease for smoothness..

Well, cleanse ur cabinet using a blower and remove as much as dust from ur proccy fan...
that will help...
