No sound in Mandriva

Last time, I had a problem with sound in Mandrake Linux 10.1, so I disabled the onboard sound card. Now, I upgraded to Mandriva 2007 spring, but even though onboard soundcard is disabled, I don't get any sound. Please help.

question is unclear.if on-board sound is enabled,it will be detected and configured by ALSA automatically.else from mandriva repositories download and install rpm "alsaconfig" and run the command "alsaconfig" as root permission.btwn what is ur on-board card.

I already have alsaconf installed. And I have run it but in vain.

Weeee!!! I've got sound again!! I just changed the switches in Kmix and it worked!!
