Guys i'm back again

I need to purchase a new rig specs as follows :-
(Need advice) ( I would appreciate if sum1 could post prices frm Nehru Place and shops where they got it frm)

Processor :
AMD 64 (939) 3200+ (current price plz.)

Mobo :
Asus a8n-sli deluxe or dfi lan party SLI-DR
Please suggest !!! with current price

Graphics card :
6600 GT (Please suggest a company)
Also could some one quote the latest 6800 GT prices

HDD :
160 GB SATA (seagate)
(Please could you post current prices of others as well)

RAM :
Please suggest a gud dual channel RAM kit ( are OCZ's available in India)
(512*2)

DVD writer :
Pioneer 108 D ( please suggest if ne other)

Speakers :
Creative Inspire 6.1 or 7.1 (suggest)

Monitor :
Samsung 17" DF

UPS :
(suggest)

Please suggest a good antec cabinet for the rig .....
I had antec performance one in mind....

My budget is bout' 65-70 k

Please quote the current prices with valuable suggestions ....
If you have an alternate config for my budget pls post that too.

Well first of all IT DAM SHURE IS A HOT RIG MAN !!!

Mobo => Asus a8n-sli deluxe => 11000

Graphics card => ASUS 6600 GT => 13000

HDD => seagate 160 GB SATA => 4200

RAM => Dont know

DVD writer => Good Chioce

Speakers => Creative Inspire 7.1

Monitor => Good Chioce Again

UPS => Any 1000 VA UPS

Cabinet => Any one which has more than 2 slots for Extra Fans (and more than 4 if you reall want to OC your G-card or CPU )

I think that's it !!!

If your going in for a 939 pin based mobo then I dont think going in for a dual channel RAM is useful since dual channel is not supported AFAIK. Will verify this and let you know.

The DVD writer is a good choice. Also there is a DVD writer from Benq which is getting rave reviews so you might wanna check that out.

As far as UPS's go there is no better choice than APC. They are the best in the business.

160 GB SATA is arounf 5900 Rs in Bangalore. Where are you from ????

Antect cabinets are really good. They come with a good powersupply. Do make sure your power supply is atleast 350 W. If you can afford it then go for it.

Hmmm i think u are wrong my friend .....

On the contrary its the 939 socket mobos which can support dual channel RAM and not their predecessors namely the 754 ones.....

Also which RAM should i buy ???? Are OCZ dual channel kits available in India ???

Okay guys i need some real quick suggestions on the RAM i should buy :


I wanna buy a 2*512 dual channel kit so please suggest a good company....

I've seen great reviews of the OCZ RAM kits on various sites but i don't think they are available in India.... If they are please tell me which shops in Nehru Place which sell em' ....


Are the Kingston and Corsair kits like hyper x and xms available if yes which are the best ones and what are their respective prices.....
I read some time back a guy recommending a Kingston low latency kit but i can't seem to find that post thru search if sum1 can find that could you please post it here......

Also could neone post the prices of some antec cabinets ....

Also guys what is a SMPS ????? Prices of that as well please ......
(No knowledge about cabinets and power supply so please don't thrash me )

(Also could some one please post the price of an Asus 6800GT ?)

Don't go for creative inspire , i don't think they are too good,instead go for logitech x 530 or z 640 types.

Go for 693mb

I don't think its easy to find ocz in india(impossible or near it)

Okay did some research the clawhammer 3400+ has an edge over the 3200+ because of the higher L2 cache (1MB in 3400+ and 512Kb in all 939 socket procs) but i'm only interested in 939 socket as only they support dual channel RAM and their mobos support SLI

Also i see you got your quote from SMC in'nl is that a good shop coz' i'm plannin' to buy from there......
Also please post about the power supply and cabinet if you can.....

i want to know prices of speakers myself but somebody said when he last looked up cost for x 530 was 7k in the showroom and normally they are priced higher was also said.

450 for 400watts ps,local sort and any atx cabinet for 1k
