New PC- Laptop or Desktop

I am currently using a desktop of the following configuration and am willing to get a new one.
Processor- Core 2 Duo E7500 @2.93 Ghz
RAM - 4GB DDR3
GPU - XFX ATI RADEON HD 4350
HARD DISK - WD CAVIAR BLUE 500 GB

I mainly want a pc that is somewhat futureproof , works smooth and can handle all the new games(not necessarily at the high details). Budget is not a major concern as long as it's good value for money.

Thank you

And playing all recent games with high settings is a Desktop thing, For getting a Laptop, equivalent to a 70K desktop in performance, probably you have to spend more than 150K. And with the emergence of new games, you can also update the GPU, add some SSD in a desktop, which is more or less is not an option in lappy.

Portability is important..that's the reason I'm considering a laptop. And as for gaming I want it it run without lags if not at high settings.
I want something mid-ranged.
Thank you
