New PC.. configuration ready... plz check..

)i have 2 buy a new desktop..mostly surfing ,mid-gaming,movies etc..thinking of this confi...

Intel Core 2 Quad -6600 or E 8400 - doubt
Abit IP35-E
Corsair-2X 1GB DDR2 (800MHZ)..
Cabinet-- Own choice
PSU- Cooler Master Extreme 600W
Monitor- 17" flat CRT (Samsung or LG) plz specify model..
Graphics Card- MSI 8800GT -512 MB
Keyboard nd Mouse: normal.
UPS- not sure..
already have HDD and DVD writer..

Power cut here is at specified times.. so dont know whether UPS is needed or Voltage regulator is needed and what rating??

Now plz suggest better confi.. or is this OK..
Plz give the prices of the above..(from Pune ..
nd kindly siggest shops in Pune..

y don't u go for the 17" LCD Screen ... also , i wud lyk u to get the 9600GT instead of the 8800GT coz it supports Direct X 10.1..

actually i somehow feel that for moviez nd games .. CRT viewing is better than LCD.. dont know whtr right or wrong..
nd.. r u sure 9600 GT supports 10.1..

You can get a MSI 9600gt 512mb OC for 9.8k.

Agreed...CRT is better for Gaming and Movies.

9600GT dun support DX 10.1
just a scaled down version of 8800GT at lower price. But has gud vfm

For DX 10.1, u have to go for ATI
MSI HD 3850 512 DDR3 is for 10k

9600GT OCed water cooled sucks compared to OCed 8800GT

For the tasks you've enlisted E8400 is more than enuff.
