I came thinking about the same as extreme 4 will provide better control over the OC and it has many many useful features that I am not listing now.

What do you think of the config. I planned above ? Should I buy it or not ?

Well, I personally like the Extreme4 for its good performance, USB 3.0s and the best for what it is ! Every featur has a different and unique effect.

So, kindly comment on the config. I planned :)

A really nice motherboard indeed !
Fulfills all my needs too and does provide USB Flash and that can be used in tituations of a Damaged BIOS.

A pretty nice package overall. Thanks a lot da.

So Why not to go for the Asrock motherboard ???

E7400 is still not a bad proccy.
you can maybe change mobo add RAM and you already have good GPU, it will work it well for another 2 years

I somewhat agree with what acewin has said - considering the gpu Op has the e7500 is enough and he can get a G41 mobo under 3k with 4GB DDr3 ram and a cheap cpu cooler if he needs one - all these will cost him not more than ~5.5k.

that is wy said stil not a bad proccy. Maybe year or 2 later he may have more to spend on buying new stuffs. And selling out old HWis always a prob whether it is 2 year old or 4 year old.

Its not my pocket, its dad's :p.

I know Core 2 Duo E7400 is a really nice processor and I manage to get it to 3.4 GHz with just FSB but the limit it somewhere near 2.6k maybe because of the phases.

So, If it was possible to fix LGA 1155 CPUs to LGA 775 or Vice-Versa, I would have got stuff step by step but since it is the other way aroung, I wand to spend to the fullest of my budget to get an A-1 Motherboard, RAM and CPU. After that GPU is I won't upgrade as in collage, 4-5 years from now, I will buy a 70k gaming beast so, for one year I want to see what hi-ends can do.

The trouble is also that my chipset is old and Intel Sucks except for extreme series when kept with ASUS or Gigabyte.

Then the Processor is not designed for OCing.

If there is nothing much new in a purchase you made, there is no fun in it.. :)
