well, a dvd quality movie means lot more audio and video quality. You will know the difference when you really see it on A3.
Think about it this way, you buy a dvd or borrow a dvd of an amazing movie and suddenly you have to leave, all you need to do is dump that dvd into the player and play in while you are away instead of converting it for hours.
And what about all those other players that I listed. Are you lost after looking at them?
The point is "There is no need to go after ipods when there are better things available."

yes dvd movies provide better quality but how much space they occupy?
about the others players yes s9 looks very good and i would it will provide some competition to ipod touch.
ps:i am not blind supportor of apple.also this thread is not a competition so there is no question of win or loose.everybody has different needs.so which is better player depends on your needs.i like ipod touch and i preffer it over A3 or any other cowon

I totally agree.. its personal.. though am not a fan of apple but have used my friends ipod touch the old one.. and dude i feel that's the eye catching WOW thing.. One thing more as someone told above that for 2 mins you see the display and rest of the time you keep in pocket.. let me know which will be comfortable to keep! LOL
And also i think when you walk you keep on pocket and rest of the time on your hand or office table!

yes specs wise it is better than touch.no doubt.but is the specs only important factor?not at all.there are other advantages of touch apart from specs(read my post no 16),but you wont get it (or should i say you wont accept it as you seem like apple hater and you want to justify your A3 purchase so according to you touch is piece of ****)so be happy with your brick

And perhaps I'll agree with desiibond.
A person who wants to buy an iPod just for the sake of excellent sound quality (thinking that iPod is the best in sound quality), must be made aware of the right choice in terms of sound quality i.e. Cowon. Cowon > iPod.If someone wants to only buy an iPod Touch, he'll surely buy it and there will be no one stopping him. Perhaps many people in India wouldn't have ever heard the name of Cowon.
And yes, I'm myself getting an iPod Touch in a month just because of Safari and Wi-fi because I require those two features. If sound quality would have been my concern, I would have definitely gone for a Cowon.

Well $229 does turn out to be around 9k something. Add the taxes and it should be around 10k without exceeding 11k. But here it costs around 3k more (around 14k without the taxes).

^^ At $240, with the current exchange rate of 47, it goes right up to 11,300. Add to that the govt duty imposed in India. So at 13k which is what it should be available at if you bargain, its not earth shattering. Just "below 10k" gets me a little surprised, coming from someone like you.
