New GPU for my rig!!

Hi guys, it has been a very long time since I used to lurk these forums regularly, well I'm back again, its time to revive my gaming rig once more. Being absent from the forums for these long had made me go out of touch with the current hardware scenario. So I need your suggestion.

So my config:

Intel Core i7 2600k
Asus Z68Vpro
8GB Vengeance 1600MHz DDR3
Corsair TX750(or maybe 850)

I think that's enough to suggest a GPU, my budget is a strict ~20k(The LG G2 emptied my bank balance completely for 4 months ) and a small look at anadtech tells me its either 280X or GTX760, suggest the model and the brand(how's rashi these days?).

I'm willing to hold off the purchase for a few months if a major shift in the GOU market is coming, else I'll buy it next month.

PS: Suggest a location or a website from where I can get a thermal paste for my CPU, stuff's dried up I think.

For GPU, 280X is your best bet.

SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD DUAL X R9 280X 3GB DDR5 OC (R9-280X -DUAL-X-OC - R9-280X -DUAL-X-OC - - 29,500.00)

It's a better option than 760, considering the fact that it is a rehashed 7970.

Asus option is good but pricier.

Fine mate, sitting in a cubicle 9 hrs a day while either staring at a monitor or speaking with a bunch of people with either very good or very bad accent :/

Anyways, vapor-X is always good and worth that extra 2k. Besides, the core clock is 950 mhz in Vapor X as opposed to 870 mhz in the dual edition.
Out of the box, vapor-X is going to be faster , lets say around the performance of a 770.

The cooler in Vapor X is solid too. If you can spend 25k, then vapor X is a great choice.

Even my vote goes for HIS R9 280X. The price is extremely justified and ICEQ X2 cooler is one of the best out there.
It's core clocks although running at stock speeds, can easily be overclocked way past 900 mhz, without touching the voltage or impacting temperatures that much.

HIS version of 280X is the sweetest deal.

You can go for it eyes closed mate. Don't think there is a 280X giving more value than the HIS version.

HIS is pretty good IMHO..picked up a 270X..easily took it to hell and back..still lives xD
