1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans:
workstation - being a php developer i will be working on website development ( Dreamweaver, Photoshop, ftp application ) along with development of android apps
gaming: want this system to run all upcoming games in next 5-6 year without any issues (fifa 16, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3,rise of tomb raider, rainbow six siege, just cause 2-3, dues ex, batman arkaham knight, fallout 4 and i can go on and on and on...)
Other: internet browsing, download, torrents.. watching movies...

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans:No... have heard that it reduces the life of the pc. ( correct me if i am wrong)

Ans: I have LG CINEMA 3D MONITOR D2342P. Screen size - 23''. Resolution - 1920 x 1080

Ans: within 1 week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: yes i always build myself.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Varanasi. online shops.. flipkart/amazon.. wont deliver good pricing more than 10,000 - 15,000 at my place( what a bump)

hello bssunilreddy,

thx for the quick reply... but as i mentioned i wont be needing the monitor. That make the price at 80,000... still on the higher side

since i am from a small town... i wont be able to get all the mentioned products...
Also being a non technical in term of hardware... can u point out the difference between my config and urs ...

I have a cooler master thunder 600w from my old rig can i use that with this new system?

Thanks

Xeon is equivalent to a non-i7 in terms of performance and way cheaper. BTW Cooler Master Thunder Series PSU's are not good at all where they use crappy capacitors which results in lower life span for the whole PC. So its better to go with my Config. Even Corsair CX Series PSU's are equally good compared with Antec. So its your choice but don't ever go with Corsair VS Series PSU's.OK.

Made the necessary changes in the table above as for the Monitor is concerned.OK.

Thanks Buddy,

I guess i will go with corsair cx 600w since that i am getting at a steal deal of 2000... from a local shop.

Just want to clarify one point... with xeon and b85 mobo if in future i want to OC will i be able to do? Read on many forum that for OC h97 and i7 will be better config.
