ok guys looks like im goona get a upgrade (the signals seem to suggest so)

what i have planned:

Quad Core 6600
and now the problem is with the rest of the requirements:

should i go for ddr3 or ddr2 (the desicion depends more on price)

8800gt or the ati dx10.1

mobo and psu .... so what do u guys suggest and also please if u can give some price idea also of the individual compos :p

as for the mobo and proccy check nov issue of digit, and for grpahics card check the oct issue.

there are very few games for dx10, it will take a long time before games are made for dx10, and longer for dx10.1.

But you are more future proof with a 8800GTS Ultra which is ofcourse a dx10 card.

try to get a SLI. :D

yes..please mention budget.

For RAM, I will suggest stick to DDR2 667 Mhz.
Don't waste money for DDR3 and DDR2 800 MHz.

Rather buy 2X1Gb 667 Mhz RAM from kingston / transend for Rs. 2000/-

budget would around 35k .... so the procy and gx card are finallised only the mobo and ram and psu left :?: now shud i do what ravi said coz 1 thing is that this machine shud have a life of upto 3-4 yrs (my current machine is 4 yrs old no upgrade to the core compos ;))

now 1 of my frenz suggested:

this mobo - abit ip35-e he says it s abng for the buck ... any idea abt this and how does it compete with the asus 1s :?:
