Your config is good , but buy it with latest go for Quad core

here is spec - if u need u can get it for 35K

AMD phenom 920 2.8ghz "Quad core" - 10500

Asus M3A78-EM - 4000

Transcend 2 X 2 GB = 4GB - 2200

Palit Geforce 9600GT - GPU - 5200

Seagate harddisk 500GB - 2600

Benq T2200HD 22" inch Full HD LCD - 9500

zebronics cabby -1000

Coolermaster 550 watts PSU - 2600

LG/Samsung DVD RW -1050

39600 - 40000

So if u dont need grafix card , then it all settled - 35K all comes

So leave of the PALIT geforce 9600GT

if u r going for 22"inch monitor then sure get grafix card for good resolution

Thanks !

Will make sure to have a look at the Graphics card as well, as monitor is important for my work on images and web. Though games are not.

Is there a monitor model 22'' or 24'' inch you suggest for image editing and webcontent. Are the HD ready monitors 1920x1080 really good for my kind of work or should I go for a monitor with native resolution of like 1920x1200. I will definitely look at the BenQ model you have suggested.

Thanks again for the help.

Go for Damgood man's config.

If you don't need the pc for gamming then you can go for a cheaper graphic card but 9600gt is best buy for that money.
And for Image editing you should look for Quad Cores. and a bigger screen is always a + point as you need a lot of space for tools and images. And a bigger screen means a graphic card and it will help you in image editing also.

Look for at least 22inch.

hi,
you can purchase intel C2DE7400 processor @2.8Ghz around 5.5k
and corsair ram 800Mhz
I had seen some of the forums, GTS8600 graphic card will be better

for Rs. 35k+, one should not buy a machine without a graphics card. Graphics card gives a lot of performance boost. since you are planning for 4GB of RAM, i presume you would be using Windows Vista or windows 7 since XP 64bit is not popular. so if you are going to use any of these OSs, having a graphics card is a must. geforce 9600GT would be a good choice. You could even try palit geforce 9800GT, but that mogh tnot fit into your budget.
