I wanna buy new external harddrive of 320GB or 500Gb....please suggest me Which one is da best .....plz suggest da best compny to buy i.e., seagate or wd or hitachi..etc

Yeah warranty is to be looked at....

Western Digital Passport 500GB @3.4k has 3-Yr warranty
Seagate FreeAgent GO 500GB @3.1k has 5-Yr warranty

so Seagate would be the better buy....

I do not know if this is a fact or not, but last month when i spoke to a Seagate customer care agent, i was informed that all hard disks purchased from the year 2010 carry a maximum warranty period of 3 years.

Kindly double check.
