Need to buy USB extension cable for my WiFi USB recever...

I have a USB WiFi receiver for my desktop,

Now i need to buy a USB Extension Cable for the same so that i can place the Receiver near the window.

I am looking for a 5meter cabel....

My question :
1. will the lenght of the cable effect the perfomance for the WiFi signal received / Data transfer ?
2. Is the Filter required in the cable??
3. what will be approx cost??

Sure.
Maximum length for USB 2.0 - 5 meters
Maximum length for USB 3.0 - 3 meters
In general, for any cable - more the speed, smaller must be the length.

2. Is the Filter required in the cable?

Will be good to have a filter

yesterday bought the 5 meter USB extension cable from Lamington road..
Local quality with filter from Road-side... Rs 100....
But it dint worked...
when i connect my pendrive using it .. it shows error "the drivers was not able to install correctly".... with a exclamation mark.
