Should have line-in

preferred brands, Sony, Dell, Lenovo, HP and last preference Compaq

My Budget Rs.55000-65000


pls note greater battery backup is so important
and weight,


and what are the diff between dual core and core2 duo

can I get more battery back with AMD Models?

pls tell some facts about AMD laptops

Dell XPS M1210

It has everything you need except the finger print reader(useless). The only drawback (plus?) is that it has a 12" screen with a resolution of 1280x800. The current free upgrade on Dell India is quite nice, DVD writer+120GB hdd included in the stock config.

what's the wrong with finger print reader?

what about the backup time with this model?

How many hours?


and isn't there any other brands???

Battery life would be around 4hrs+ at with the 6 celled battery and onboard graphics. You should configure it with go7400 if you wanna run vista in its full glory. No other brand would offer all that you want in a sub 65k budget.

As for finger print security, Its a cool feature, but doesn't mean much. You can protect your data in other ways too. If your laptop does get stolen, you are not gonna get your laptop back because it has biometric security which cannot be cracked. It adds to the final cost of the laptop and are included mostly in the business lines of laptop manufacturers, rightfully so. Anyways, thats just my viewpoint.

Broken In
any day dell man its best and never buy Hp or Compaq they have less in price stuff but really bas service and product
