b. Dislike: COMPAQ, HP, ACER, SAMSUNG, LG

5) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?
Mostly watching movies, browsing internet, working with software like VS2010, SQL Server 2008 etc.. , Casual Gaming even though not an extreme gamer.

6) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both? Both, Traveling will be twice in a month

7) Will you be playing games on your notebook? If so, please state which games or types of games?
Not a extreme gamer, still play few games like FIFA, and some strategy based games

8) How many hours of battery life do you need?
3 Hours

9) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you're considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?
Mostly ordering online only.

then i think i5 is your best bet

Ya i5 is the best processor in his budget
But if you are taking about best processor than i think it will be i7-3960X
