Need suggestion on Sony home theater setup

Hi Friends, currently I have Sony Home Theater dav dz.
It doesn't have USB Support and also the ports at the behind of the DVD player and the one's coming out of the speakers are small sized RJ 45 so I don' think I can use the speakers of this setup with another brand new DVD player which has an USB support. Can some one please suggest me as what can I do so that I can use the existing speaker system. I heard one of my friend say that in this setup the Amplifier will be in the DVD Player itself so we may not get the desired output if we connect the speakers to another DVD Player

its may a nob like answer, you can replace the connector on you speaker i think, speakers has two wired connection, so replace the RJ 45

i dont think other dvd players will be able to drive the speaker set.
