Welcome to TDF!!
Please feel free to read some threads here, get some knowledge on choosing a good rig and understand the needs of the OP before start suggesting someone.

That GPU cut down and the CPU cooler suggested are insane. Lets not misguide someone because of our lack of knowledge

see the benchmarks here *www.lanoc.org/review/video-cards/6834-sapphire-dual-x-r9-280-oc?showall=&start=6. 280x is already struggling to make 60 fps in games like tombraider ,sleeping dogs etc. 290 is definitely is not an overkill for 1080p if you consider future games provided you enjoy the game in ultra every settings cramped up so that you can enjoy the games in full glory. who doesn't want unto if some one has enough budget??
Isn't this review for R9 280 and not 280x?

Look, nobody is rude towards you and we also appreciate your good intentions also. But the thing is when people are asking for some configurations, they're damn serious about it and they are putting lot of money also. So any wrong suggestion can misguide them. Also as a new member, we also expect from you to go through the sticky threads which will help yo to understanding the jargons and basic architecture, compatibility related things about different computer components.

sorry to hear that you are hurt. as cilus mentioned, it is the hard earned money that is being spend on a hardware. so the one who buys the system must get the best in his budget considering various aspects like overclocking, the apps he might use etc. that is why we have questionnaire here. feel free to go through each and every sticky threads.
