Need Sound Card advise

Asus P8Z77-M Pro
8GB RAM
intel 240GB 520 series ssd,
Windows 8 Pro

Please suggest supported options for above config...

Creative has Recon 3D Series and Asus have Xonar Series. Which speakers? What budget?

i'd go for asus xonar dg
has headphone amp and is ok..ish
has the usual 5.1 audio out
you can connect the usual 5.1 channel speakers to it and make do.
