Resistance is Futile.
I'm thinking of adding some extra RAM to my Envy 14. It currently has 2x2GB modules and since the laptop has got only 2 slots, I'll have to replace them completely & considering 2x4GB

Any suggestions for the RAM? I'm not sure what the prices for laptop RAM are - I'm in Bangalore & will buy it online. Budget - I'm fairly open, not too expensive though :p

Still, I suggest you to get them locally, as sometimes some RAMs don't adjust with the system for unknown reasons.

OK. I'll be replacing the existing ones, so guess it won't matter much? Let's see. Just placed an order today on flipkart

Got my RAM delivered today, switched it & working fine, thanks Sujay.

One problem: CPU-z keeps rejecting the validation. Any idea why?

This is the older validation before upgrading:

CPU-Z Validator 3.1

This is the new one:

CPU-Z Validator 3.1

Tried re-installing CPU-Z? Or using portable version? But why is your new CPU-Z showing 989 socket instead of 1156?
