I have an LG 1752s lcd monitor and my mobo is an Asus M2NPV-VM mobo with GeForce 6150 onboard. When I first connected my monitor to the mobo, the monitor colors were so glaring. I tried all settings but the problem persisted. I tried the white balance from the monitor menu and the screed went some dimming and after some trials on that, it showed good colors. That setting persisted till I change the white balance again. I accidentally changed it recently but now, it is not resetting again. I reinstalled the drivers given with my mobo cd and also the latest drivers given with digit dvd. (need to try this month's one). but that didnt solve the problem. In the manual, it was given that the monitor would display like that if it couldnt synchronize with the video card. and white balance would sync it. when I press the white balance button, the monitor goes dim, displays the correct colors with good contrast and then reverts back to a glared look. How do I solve this problem? when connected to another cpu(Intel chipset) of my friend, it displayed colors correctly. Do I have any other way?
I also got a couple of Qns for gfx cards.
1. What is bottlenecking of gfx card? how can I determine it and what are the factors affecting it?
2. I got and AMD 5600+ 64X2 with 1GB 800MHz RAM. Still I was said that the 8800 might cause bottlenecking on this proccy. How come this (almost latest) proccy could also cause bottlenecking (though I dont know what bottlenecking is)?
3. What would be the difference in the price of gfx card in India and US?
4. For Rs. 6500-7000, what gfx card would I get in India or US (if there is a price difference between the two),
5. I presently live in Hyderabad. Could someone suggest me a good shop for buying a gfx card at good price?
I posted my query abt gfx card before but I couldnt decide on budget then. So, I am including my gfx card budget in this post. Please answer these gfx cards qns ASAP. I need the answers in abt a week. this is urgent.
