1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: MS Office, Facebook, Online Flash games (Castleville & the likes), Occasional Heavy gaming (Farcry 2, Crysis 2, Assassins Creed III & the likes)

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: Max Rs. 30,000/-

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No, Not planning on SLI/Crossfire

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB. Already bought it.

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: No. Dell ST2200L 21.5" @ 1920x1080 resolution. Already bought it.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Already Bought
WD Blue 500 GB HDD
Sony DVD-RW Drive SATA
Dell ST2220L monitor
Cooler Master Elite 310 Cabinet

Plan on reusing
Sony DVD-RW Drive SATA IDE
Sony FDD IDE
Microsoft Keyboard PS/2
Logitech Basic Optical Mouse PS/2
APC 500W UPS

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within next 1 month

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Self assembled

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: New Delhi. Shopping from Nehru Place. Online shopping only if cheaper than Nehru Place.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Want the PC to be future proof for atleast 3-4 years (except GPU which will be outdated in probably 1-2 years). Following is the leftover configuration that I have in mind:

Intel Core i5 3570 (Socket 1155) CPU
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB @ 1600 MHZ RAM (Should I go for Corsair or Gskill)
Intel H77 or Z77 based ATX motherboards (Suggest please. Integrated GPU is must)
Altec Lansing BXR1221 / Logitech Z313 / Edifier C2 speakers (suggest please)
Corsair CX430 V2 PSU / Corsair CX500 V2 PSU (suggest please)

Suggest me a GPU, preferably with atleast 1GB DDR5 memory (ATI HD7770 / ATI HD7750 or any other).
I'm thinking Sapphire OC.

Overclocking means CPU overclocking here. I am not sure about the answer you've given

And one information for you: The Integrated Graphics Processor or IGP for Intel is not situated inside the Motherboard, they are fused inside the CPU. The Processor you've chosen does have IGP, Intel HD 4000 which is still the best IGP from Intel till date. But any kind of heavy gaming at 1080P (1920X1080) resolution is not possible with IGP with high or even mid settings. So you need a dedicated Graphics card for it.

For Motherboard, stick with the Gigabyte Motherboard and stretch your budget to accommodate a 10K Graphics card like GTX 650 Ti which will offer better gaming performance. For Ram, go with G-Skill RipjawX instead of Vengeance.

@Cilus:
Thanks for the info.
Regarding Overclocking, I don't plan on overclocking either the CPU or GPU.

Actually, the processor chosen i.e. i5-3570 has Intel HD 2500 IGP, not HD 4000.
*ark.intel.com/products/65702/Intel-Core-i5-3570-Processor-6M-Cache-3_40-GHz
i5-3750K has HD 4000 IGP which I have not chosen.
*ark.intel.com/products/65520/Intel-Core-i5-3570K-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz

What about Speakers & PSU? Which one should I pick or suggest more.
I don't need expensive or hi-fi speakers, but should be atleast 2.1.

bump...

As regards motherboard, I can't seem to find both Intel DH77KC & Gigabyte GA-H77-D3H in market or online.

I found a few more options on Flipkart:

MSI ZH77A-G41 MSI ZH77A-G41 Motherboard | Motherboard | Flipkart.com

Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H Motherboard | Motherboard | Flipkart.com

ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP ASRock H77 Pro4/MVP Motherboard | Motherboard | Flipkart.com

I don't plan on overclocking either the CPU or GPU.

I do need Integrated Graphics.

What do u suggest?

You said you need integrated graphics. With any of those boards you would be able to use integrated graphic unit of the ivy-bridge processor when there is no discrete graphic card.
Do you need to use IGP when there is a discrete graphic card in the system with the help of logix Virtu to make use of Quick sync(Intel's video transcoding engine) for video transcoding?
If yes, then pick a board which supports logix virtu.Out of those 3 Asrock H77 Pro4/MVP supports it.Asus P8H77-M LE@7.6k also has Virtu support. There are other boards too with that feature.

Actually I need a IGP since I'll buy the discrete card later when my budget permits.
I have no idea about Logix Virtu but I googled it & it seems a good tech.
But I have no real need of it as of now nor is it a necessity.

I prefer ATX boards only since they carry more slots, ports, etc.

I plan on playing heavy games.

Out of those 3 companies, which offers better after-sales tech/RMA support?

If u have any other ATX board in my mind which I can use for next 4-5 years, please suggest.

^^ Who said it to you that ATX boards carry more ports and slots and mAtX boards don't? If you wanna more features then you have to spend more money, reagardless of the motherboard's form factor. Among the shortlisted motherboards, get the Asrock one if you want ATX.

Id go for 4 GB of RAM and put the extra money on GPU.. You will not notice any performance gain from 8 GB as of today.. But if you need extra RAM, you can always upgrade later

Following is the configuration that I have finalized:

Intel Core i5 3570 (Socket 1155) CPU - Rs. 12023/-
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB @ 1600 MHZ RAM - Rs. 2707/-
Logitech Z313 speakers - Rs. 2139/-
Corsair CX430 V2 PSU - Rs. 2702/-

Total - Rs. 19571/- (Inclusive of taxes)
Source: Cost to Cost & Flipkart.
I may get some of the components cheaper but above is the price I'm taking into consideration.

I'm stretching budget to 30K.
Now left is the mobo which I still haven't been able to decide. Please help guys.

Intel H77 or Z77 based ATX motherboards (Suggest please. Integrated GPU is must)

Somewhat agree with you that M-ATX boards also carry more ports & slots.
But they don't give you much space to tinker around with in case u wanna check/fix something.

I've read somewhere that Asrock is not durable enough in comparison to Gigabyte. What say?

I would have also gone with 4 GB RAM.
But learning from 1st hand experience, I'd rather stock up myself in case I don't get similar RAM (same make & model) in future.
I don't wanna install different module in future & face system instability issues, which I'm still facing on my old desktop.

Guessing that you're not reading most of the things other members are suggesting. Something from my previous post:-

Right now any kind of mobo for intel processors will get you that integrated GPU..
Long back P-series mobo did not allow integrated GPU but we call all forget about that now ;)

Also, you don't need a Z77 motherboard as you are not going for a Intel K series CPU. Get the Asrock H77 motherboard which is good enough for your rig.

@Cilus:
Sorry, I always make a mistake in case of IGP.
Instead of writing IGP, I always write GPU.
Old habit I guess.
Have also gone out of touch with latest tech.

Wouldn't getting a Z77 based mobo be future proof for atleast 4-5 years?

Cilus

laborare est orare
No. H77 Motherboards offer same features as Z77 motherboard apart from overclocking capability. Since you are buying a Non K processor, you can't overclock in any motherboard. So there is no point of spending extra money at Z77 motherboard which will behave like a normal H77 motherboard with your CPU. Instead of spend the money to get a more feature rich H77 motherboard.

So, is ASrock H77 Pro4/MVP rich with features or should I go with some other board?

Will Corsair CX430 V2 PSU be enough if I add ATI HD7770 / ATI HD7750 based 1 GB display card in future?

Thanks.

Almost done.
One more clarification needed about PSU.

Is CX430V2 better than VS450?

I'm getting VS450 cheaper than CX430V2 on flipkart & even cheaper in retail (Nehru Place).
