Need help in buying modem

Hi,
I am currently using BSNL broadband unlimited connection.Recently my wired bsnl modem died.So I am planing to buy a new WIRELESS modem so that i can connect my PC using wire and Laptop by wireless so that I can get Internet on both devices at the same time.Now I am confused about whether I should buy a Wireless Router or a Wireless Modem .I don't know the difference between them correctly.
What I want is a device which will allow me to connect two or more devices at the same time and allow sharing of Internet connection.My budget is around 2500 and my preferred brand is D-Link.

all phone line based broadband connections(like bsnl,mtnl,airtel,reliance) need an adsl modem.there are wifi adsl modems which are basically a combination of adsl modem & wifi router.currently there is no better wifi adsl modem than tplink w8968 from snapdeal for ~2200 but if you insist on dlink then just search flipkart & snapdeal for dlink.

Thank you for your suggestion.I am not buying online.I am planing to buy from some shop in kochi.So I will look for tplink w8968.But if it is not available which other models should I look for.Is dlink n300 is a good alternative for it.

you mean dlink 2750u,n300 is a generic term used for any wifi device which supports 300mbps wifi speed.
