Need help in buying modem

Hi,
I am currently using BSNL broadband unlimited connection.Recently my wired bsnl modem died.So I am planing to buy a new WIRELESS modem so that i can connect my PC using wire and Laptop by wireless so that I can get Internet on both devices at the same time. Now I am confused about whether I should buy a Wireless Router or a Wireless Modem .I don't know the difference between them correctly.
What I want is a device which will allow me to connect two or more devices at the same time and allow sharing of Internet connection. My budget is around 2500 and my preferred brand is D-Link.
Thank you

all phone line based broadband connections(like bsnl, mtnl, airtel, reliance) need an adsl modem.there are wifi adsl modems which are basically a combination of adsl modem & wifi router.currently there is no better wifi adsl modem than tplink w8968 from snapdeal for ~2200 but if you insist on dlink then just search flipkart & snapdeal for dlink.

Thank you for your suggestion.I am not buying online.I am planing to buy from some shop in kochi. So I will look for tplink w8968.But if it is not available which other models should I look for.Is dlink n300 is a good alternative for it.
