Need Best Audio card @8k range

Hi Guys i am planning to upgrade to my pc audio range. I am looking for a future proof sound card, its hard but the exact usage in near future is that it should be capable of pass through true HD sound and no down sampling.

I heard certain cards cant do that as its a licensing issues. let me know i have shortlisted few cards but i only wanted pci-e card as my pci slots may not be usable when i ugrade another gpu in near future.

I searched not found the one i was looking for. Please get me the real cards that people found it useful.

That has TRUE HD DTS MASTER HD , Pass through 7.1 channel native support
I/0 hdmi, optical in & out 5.1 out headphone out with build in amp.

Let me know if the above is in one card.

Please let me know more info. I am not that gr8 in audio cards. I had given a glimpse of what i am looking for . Ok to invest even 2k more if that card is worth investing.

You should look at Xonax D2X, along with Creative X-fi titanium HD.
May be titanium HD isn't available in India, but you can always request prime to import that for you.

And, about Asus HDAV 1.3, AFAIK, it is not available in India.

Let me know difference between these. As HD AUDIO passthrough can be done by video card. Does this helps these audio card to pass the full hd audio to home theatre

I have seen the frequency and bit rate but not sure what actual difference.

Please let me know if any of these cards support master hd audio and dts hd pass through. i will go for that model.

I also can go for only pci e cards only due to space constraint.

I can get titanium cards not a problem but the design makes me feel little not satisfied as the same price range asus cards are filled with many components for multilevel processing of audio.

So i am not ok with creative xfi titanium cards.

Mate, I've no detailed idea about HD audio passthrough. I think you should request mods to move this thread to the audio section, so that knowledgeable guys can help you there, properly.

^ Ehem! I think you are forgetting about design problem of D2X mate, for which production of D2X have been stopped. The problem is related to power pin (4 pin floppy connector) which tend to come out of the board.
