1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: For Coding- Android, Java and some web development. Along with running virtual machines.
Applications: Autodesk Maya, Adobe photoshop, premier, after effects and illustrator.
Gaming: CS:GO. Basically fps, racing and action. Not a hard core gamer. But cs go addict.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 45k is maximum but can push upto 50k.

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: May be

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8.1 and Ubuntu (Dualboot)

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500gb is enough for me. But if I'm getting 1Tb by spending 3-400 bucks more. No problem at all. One more thing here, I want to buy SSD too. Suggest me adequate size. I will install OS and other apps in it for fast bootup. Also, is it good to buy now or can be upgraded later in future?

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. 19"-22". Resolution is what you guys suggest would be good.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: I already have Gaming keyboard and mouse. Don't want to buy speakers and optical drive.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within a month.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Once. But will let it assemble by assembler here.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Delhi. Just provide me configs. I will buy them locally or online whereever available and low cost.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: I'm open to all suggestions. But here's my personal favs
Monitor - Dell, Benq
Processor- i5 4690k
Graphics card- R9/2gb
Mobo- msi, asus
Smps- corsair 650w
Case- cooler master force 500
Hdd-wd, seagate
Ram gskill ripjaws 8gb

ATX mobo with atleast 4 slots is preferable.
I don't want a cool looking pc but with cool performance. Also please tell if the config is upgradable easily in future.

Thanks in advance

Overclocking does not do any good to gaming nor to coding for any applications so going for non-k processor is the only way to reduce cost also. This is my opinion regarding cost as well as overclocking.OK.

Hi Sapphire,

It all depends on your budget, because SSDs are expensive; however they are worth every penny.
The difference between cheaper SSDs and more expensive ones that have similar capacity is their write speeds. Expensive ones are usually 540MB/s write speeds while cheaper ones go up to around 250MB/s write speeds only. Read speeds however, are the same.

For HDD part, I would advise you go with the WD Blue 1TB and normal storage, that is if you don't have the budget problem.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the replies.
Well I am thinking to extend my budget. So am final with i5 4690k as I am getting it for 15000 in Nehru Place. But I am confused with Graphics card and mobo.
For Motherboard, I want to go with Z97 series but not more than 15000.
Asrock fatality z97x, extreme4, asus z97-a are my choices.
For GPU, R9 is suitable for me but struggling which one to buy Sapphire, ATI or any other.
Help me with this. Thanks
