Peak Oil is real!
My Cousin had a Nokia C3. Have used it for a while... I have seen worse phones than that... For the price, it was VFM...

heard bad reviews about C3 from many users.
and Elm has slow interface as i felt? is anyone using this phone???

tell me 1 mobile which have absolutely no -ve point. theres none. so go for the one that best suites the budget & offers max feature i.e. Nokia C3. it has wifi problem as reported by 2-3 previous buyers but future firmware update should fix these.

How about micromax A60? Its the cheapest android phone and has got digit gold buy award in this month's issue i.e april 2011. Its around 6-6.5k and well within your budget.

Has got admirable performance as well. Have a look at it before making a decision.

but with a resisitve screen, its not recommended. also with the unveil of Galaxy Pop, 3" or bigger screens are recommended as price has dropped a lot. 2.8" is a bit too small to be usable. i think a QWERTY will be better. atleast it'll be usable for a good time
