Need a Long Lasting Mobile Phone

Shreya Sachan

Right off the assembly line
1. Budget? Not more than 15/20k
2. Display type and size? Preferably smaller but can go upto 5.5-6 inch
3. Dual sim? Whichever
4. Preferred choice of brand? None as such
5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)? (If front facing camera isn't great, doesn't matter. The rear camera should be good!)
6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc). (Android)
7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready). (4G)
8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)? Watching videos, a few games which are not very heavy, mostly for social media apps like Instagram and whatsapp
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration? I am considering One Plus 3 but it isn't available on Amazon, Lenovo 8+, any other brands can also be considered. I haven't been able to research a lot.
10. Any other info that you want to share: I do not change phones very quickly. I buy a phone in 3-4 years and my last phone (redmi prime 2) lasted only 2 years. I want a phone that doesn't lag in the long run. I use fancy apps in the beginning but I want whatsapp etc to run without lag till the end of the phone's life. Battery is also an essential factor. I can do without fast charging but I want long lasting battery.

Please help me find the right phone which will last a long long time and I don't have to switch any time soon! :)

But what are your suggestions for a phone. I am seeing some good reviews for some LG phones on the forum, any that would suit my need?

I am not sure why people are recommending phones priced at around 12k-15k when the OP is looking at OPO3.

If you want to get something low budget, Redmi Note 4 would be great. Back camera is bad. But 4000mAh battery coupled with Snapdragon 625 is hard to beat.

Or maybe you can look at large phones like Mi Mix 2 which have a larger battery. (Snapdragon 835 + 6 inch screen + 3400 mAh battery may not be a good fit for long battery backup though)

Mi Max 2 has an even larger screen with a big battery (6.4 inch + 5300 mAh battery) coupled with frugal SD 625 processor. Should last a long time on each charge.

OP's budget is low for OP3 and it has been discontinued officially. No point in suggesting it now.

I'd recommend the Lenovo P2, which has a 5100 mAh battery life

second choice is Asus Zenfone 3s Max

Xiaomi Note 5 is going to release tomorrow on flipkart, price should be somewhere around 15k. Be sure to check it out.
