1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: This is for Home and Office use. No Gaming. Typically for MS office work and for watching HD movies & some music.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 30K (not a rupee more pls)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: Nope

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Window 7/8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB (need to store lot of movie and music)

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes. Need one with minimum 20" and with HD capabilities

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: None.

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: ASAP

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: By an assembler (who is my friend)

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Chennai. I can buy it locally and online too

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans:
A. I would prefer an Intel system
B. I need the smallest possible CPU box (due to space constraint)
C. Need HDMI output to monitor
D. Need WiFi connectivity (Very Important)

Thanks for the response. But will this MB support HDMI? Also can I be able to fit this MB into smaller cabinet?

Hi getavmurali,

I would like to add a word to help in build of PC.Here are some options for you.

CPU: Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor.
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97N-WIFI Mini ITX LGA1150 Motherboard.
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory.
Storage: Western Digital Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive.

I believe these components are best for normal use, like word processing; based on your budget. In build, MOBO has inbuilt Wifi module and HDMI port as well. The MOBO form factor is a Mini-ITX so it will easily fit with small casing. I hope, this configuration will fulfill your requirements.

hope it helps

Sorry to bother again. This MB doesn't support WiFi. Can you suggest some other MB? Or is there any alternate that I can think of?
