1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: This is for a friend and he will be mainly using it for Gaming and some CAE work (btw idk what that means). All latest and upcoming games battlefield, COD, GTA, watchdogs, new farcry and all new games should run.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 80k

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: What do you guys think, OP doesn't know what OC is so i have to help him or go with non OC processors.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 8

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 1TB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Yes, a good full HD one

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Need all components

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: as soon as possible

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: yes

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Pune, mumbai lamington road or online whichever is cheaper

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: No.

That's a 100k rig  you mentioned your budget as 80k :O :|

Get HyperXFury, it can be overclocked without any hassle, Seasonic S12II 620W should be minimum, Get WD Black if you have the budget. CM Devastator isn't meant for gaming, it just has backlight. get Logitech G300+Logitech 105.

thanks adityak, but i was just able to squeeze that much..
And this rig is for my friend who don't have any idea about overclocking.

so don't overclock  HyperXFury is cheaper and better than most of the RAMs and overclocking is just a plus point, nothing else. and other parts that I said should be considered as bare minimum.

its a 100k rig, and no SSD and a rather under powered PSU, don't you think?

I am not sure what's going on, not really active on the forums like I was 3-4 years ago, but back then it was about balanced configurations, right now, you just go for the most expensive GPU you can afford and that's it. Spend 2-3k more and get the ability to overclock, cos you can easily get 20%+ performance very easily. With newer boards, overclocking is dead easy, just have a look, I have spoken about it in my review

overclocking CPU doesn't do much for gaming. buying an overclockable rig would cost ~7k more. in which a better CPU can be accommodated which can provide performance boost of 30-40℅

Seasonic S12II is enough for the rig, unless OP wants to overclock.

SSDs aren't a necessity. they'll cost ~5k more in which a better GPU/CPU can be accommodated. getting better core components is a priority as most people don't upgrade core components like CPU and GPU but they upgrade other stuff, so they can add things like SSD later on too.

Guys as I already mentioned, this rig is for my friend who doesn't know all this fancy stuff.
True overclocking is easy and all but it need more care from user side in monitoring temps and all.
Btw we bought this rig for 1.2lk :D
