Hi guys. I'm posting this thread on behalf of my friend.

Kindly suggest a configuration.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Development work mostly (Visual studio, Eclipse with emulators etc); then Gaming; then comes Movies/songs/browsing etc.

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: 50k max. (would be more happy if you can suggest within 45k)

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: No.

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 10.

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: 500 GB enough as of now. (can opt for 1 TB if price difference isn't too much)

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: 22" 1080P monitor (24" would be awesome)

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: Only Speakers

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: In 3-4 days.

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:Assembler.

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans:Chennai. Locally as well as Online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: The config. must be future proof for 4-5 yrs.

I went through some of the threads and posts and have this following config in mind.

Processor - Intel core i5 6500 - 14k
Motherboard - Gigabyte B150M-D3H - 7.5k
Memory - Corsair Vengeance 8 GB DDR4 - 3.9k
Power supply - Seasonic S12II 520W - 4.8k
HDD - WD Caviar Blue 1 TB - 3.5k
Monitor - Dell S2216H 22" LED IPS - 8.6k
Keyboard/Mouse - Logitech MK200 - 1k

He is ready to settle down for a mid range graphics card for now.

Kindly give your inputs.

i5 6500's integrated graphic processor is good enough for basic gaming. Spending extra 6k for a GT710 is not justified.

Fifa, COD, Far Cry, Battlefield etc.

^ Depending upon which COD, Far Cry games he'll be playing, the GPU power required can shift either way. Still, I think a GTX 950 should be the least to get.

GTX 950 will explode the budget. As of now suggest me a solid mid-range card which will run Fifa 16, Far cry 4 @ 1080p with medium settings.

Later i can sell this card for half price and will upgrade to a better one..

GTX 950 manages to keep Far Cry 4 around 40fps at 1080p max settings and ~35 fps on ultra. You can skip on buying a GPU for now instead of buying a low-end good for nothing GT 710. Even though its playable on GTX 750 Ti, I won't recommend getting it.

I'd recommend skipping a graphic card. The IGP of Intel processors is excellent for basic gaming. I played all of Mass Effect, COD, Fifa, Insurgency, FarCry, Bourderlands, Battlefield etc on my i3 2100 and i5 5400U. i5 6500 will provide moire enough graphic power for running all games you intend to play, trust me.

You could try skipping Skylake and getting older 4th gen Intel processor's. Then you could possibly save few more thousands on motherboard (by getting B85 chipset) and few bucks of RAM. Combine the savings and get a good GPU.
