My Thread Vanished !!! Why?

Reason we will thrash and not lock, a locked thread (incorrect) can be viewed and the fooled buyer can contact via PM. The fraud still happens.

Right now I locked a thread which didn't had pics, he was giving away Digit Magazines. Then I thought as no price is included and it's just a giveaway I reported it, and desiibond suggested to open it as it's a giveaway.

But in other cases, there can be fraud.

But one thing that I think is, many members(good members, who are not trying to fraud) also gets hampered, if they just forgot to maintain one rule.

Well, we should be either very strict to minimize frauds otherwise little bit loose. Both have their Advantage and Disadvantage.

@asingh- Well it's my fault that I haven't read the Rules before posting. But yes those rules were there before my first post, in that case every single of my post should have been deleted. I didn't even get any warning even, if they were OK, then this one should be too. And majority of users never read forum rules before posting, in any forum, not only TDF, but I can bait that nowhere a thread gets Deleted before a warning.

Besides I don't find any valid reason that why one should write his/her name in a paper and photograph it, it sounds very foolish imo. Yes one should state his/her real name instead.

You can easily get someone's pics from some other forum, and post it here. Who knows that? For that sake, you need to write down your forum name in a piece of paper, place it along with your product...

Well we have started a major market clean up, so all threads which were from past 3x months have been hammered. Please have a look at other Indian forums which have market sections, threads which are not correct are immediately thrashed. Do you not get it..? Why we cannot leave it open for a warning even..? Fraud can happen. I have seen it happen many times. Then the users come back and cry to the moderators and admin. Will we get the money back for them..? Think logically before arguing for the sake of it.

If someone does not read rules, then they learn the hard-way. That is how the world works. We are not implementing something new here.

The association which we have for you to TDF is your handle id. So that is why we use that as a placeholder next to the hardware put up for sale. You are more than welcome to add your personal name if you want..!

And my user name is my nickname and I use the same in all the forums I visit. I believe everyone should use their name as user name.

Services are not allowed. Webhosting is a small exception if moderators approve it. Example, cyrus_the_virus' thread. I'm approving your thread. It is back now.

i would suggest a new section like offers instead of market for services. services tend to be a greater than market can offer. market is just to sell stuffs by registered members.

We'll consider this. We are looking at ways through which we can re-organize the Bazaar section.

Can't find a "For Sale" thread.

Not too long ago (maybe 1-2 months back), I saw an offer to sell the original power supply (AC adapter) and battery for an old HP/Compaq laptop, but I can no longer find the thread, not even in the Completed Deals section. I remember that the 18.5V, 65W PSU was offered for 350/- and the battery for 500/-.

I'm now searching for the offer on behalf of a friend. What happened to the thread?
