My PC detecting a floppy drive

I dont know when it happen but i found a floppy drive being shown as A:\ in the removable storage area in my computer...the strange thing is i dont have a floppy drives at all...and i didnt mount any such drive also..

going to device manager, i uninstall the floppy disk controller and floppy disk..and then when i scan for hardware changes and it detected it again and install the driver..on checking the driver belong to microsoft..

what in heaven is going on?

Just restart your computer
Then Enter BIOS by pressing Del or which ever button is mentioned
Enter The Advancce BIOS conf panel
There you'll see, HDD, Optical Drives etc

Go to the point which says Floppy Drive
Press enter and change its value to none

or u can also disable the floppy disk controller form device manager( do NOT uninstall it)....
