Right off the assembly line
My Configuration is PD 3 GHz, Intel DG965RY board, 1 GB RAM. My microphone is not detected both on XP & Vista. So I thought that it was damaged. But Intel Audio Studio was installed on my XP. So I tried to record something with it. And it was working properly! And after that I noticed that it was also working on Windows Sound Recorder and Sound Forge! But as I restarted my machine it was not working and after recording something through Intel Audio Studio it was working again...!!! And last problem Intel Audio Studio is not available for Vista. So I can't use it's Voice Recognition. Pleeeezzzeee Help.

Make sure you have selected the correct recording device.

Do same thing in Voice Tab.

Now double click on Volume icon in taskbar.
