My APC 1100VA UPS went kaput. Can I get it repaired?

Hello all,

My APC 1100VA UPS went kaput. Can I get it repaired? Its not turning on. What could be the problem? Its showing charging only indicator but not turning on. Its bought on Sep, 30th, 2019 so I think it has done its duty right? Should I order a new same UPS or another brand one? Please suggest? Thanks.

You can easily get the battery replaced, which usually is the culprit.

My own APC 1100 VA UPS was not working after few years of usage. I took it to a local computer market. The new battery costed around Rs 1100 and the guy replaced it and UPS started working.
You can replace the battery yourself easily. But opening and assembling it back might be challenging depending on how hands on you are with the hardware. Battery itself can be easily connected/disconnected from the UPS, no solder required.

i have faced the same issue today with a apc bx600. light turned red and it is not working. manual says the battery needs to be replaced. online apc battery price is around 1700-2000, APC is selling it for 2534 and a new ups is 3299. the ups was bought in september 2018. i am leaning towards a new ups due to this.

If you're sure that it's the battery, you can get battery from some other brand for lot less and power your UPS.
