i agree with whitestar..
you need to first figure out how much graphic performance you need.. you don't plan on playing games.. do you even need a powerful gpu ? i dont think photo editing requires some powerful gpu like that..
your main priority should be build quality and good long term after sale service in india if you expect laptop to use for 4-5 years , good low tdp ones .. like 8th gen or ryzen..
all future proofing is meaningless if you compromise bad build or bad after sale service / hard to find spares after 3 years for more specs..
also amd has announced ryzen based apu.. which is looking like a very compelling aternative against intel from early numbers..
AMD launches Ryzen Mobile 7 2700U & 5 2500U with Vega Graphics | VideoCardz.com
maybe igpu on ryzen might be enough as well for you.. and priortize other important aspects like build , fhd , brand , ssd etc while keeping investment low..
so might want to wait for that as well.. if you can wait till new year
dont spend unecessarily on specs which you are never going to use... instead of spending this much cash to future proof
. better buy 1 laptop now for around 60-65k use it for 3 years with good after sale service .. then buy another for 60k after 3 years..
you will also stay future proof this way.. because there will be faster processors , more ram , efficiency , new features more performance , available for less price after 3 years and most importantly you will get 6 years assurance of 3+3 years warranty on 2 laptops.
your laptop will be guranteed to work 6 years this way and may even cost you less since you will be able to sell your previous one..
while your expensive laptop may stop working after 3 years , and you may find it difficult to get spares or end up spending quite a bit of money to get it repaired ( expensive laptop , expensive spares )
